Summary
The District Attorney Wants You To Be A Safe Driver! Have you received a speeding citation? You can now enroll in the National Safety and Health Council Defensive Driving 4-hour course. The Safe Driving Program may prevent assessment of insurance points or premium surcharges on your policy and/or points on your North Carolina driver’s license. This program is made available by the 30th Judicial District (Haywood, Jackson, Swain, Clay, Cherokee, Macon, and Graham Counties). Anyone may take this class, even if you have not received a ticket. The benefit of taking a defensive driving course is to keep you and other drivers safe on the road. Excellent information is included for all drivers, including new drivers.
Drivers must register no later than three days prior to the class beginning.
No late arrivals will be admitted to class.
Refunds will NOT be granted for failure to attend class.
