Knitting: Your First Sweater

Have you learned the basics of knitting but been afraid to tackle a larger project? Fear no more! If you know how to knit and purl, you can make anything! Join us to learn about gauge, chart and pattern reading, cast on techniques, picking up stitches, digital knitting tools, blocking, and more. We will start this class with how to pick a pattern and the yarn for it. Then make gauge swatches and do the math to find your perfect fit. Each class will have informational session, questions, and time to knit together. By the end of class, you’ll have a finished sweater (or at least be well on your way)!

Students will need to provide their own yarn, patterns, and tools. The instructor will bring lot’s of samples to explore.
