Intro to Painting

Painting is lots of fun and using acrylic paint is one of the vest ways to introduce you to creating colorful art. Learn color theory by exploring the elements of color and how colors relate to each other. Discover how to limit your color palette with amazing results. The subject matter will be up to you: still life, nature, landscape and more. Students must have some basic experience with drawing. 

NOTE: Students must obtain additional supplies for this course. 

Introduction To Acrylic Painting-Painting 101 with Jim Stilwell

1-4   oz tube Cadmium Red medium Acrylic Paint

1-4 oz tube Cadmium Yellow Medium

1-4 oz tube Ultramarine Blue

1-4 oz tube Titanium White

1-4 oz tube Mars Black

1-4 oz tube Yellow Oxide or Yellow Ochre

5-Small canvases or canvas boards 9x12 or similar size or

You can also buy a pad of canvas paper

Palette or coated paper plates

Glass Jar or Plastic Cup (for water)

Pencil

Materials can be found at Michaels, any art supply store or online art supplies
