Summary
| Join this immersive 12-week sewing course in which you will master essential techniques and construction methods for creating clothing. Students will master sewing machine operation, explore textiles and notions, gain an understanding of sewing patterns, and learn the ins and outs of how a garment is made. Throughout the class we will create a comprehensive sample book of construction techniques such as seams, hems, finishes, buttons and zippers, and much more. Students will complete three finished garments using the skills learned throughout the class. All skill levels are welcome, and students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines. |

SUPPLY LIST BELOW: * Sewing Machine (own machine if not using HCC machines, * 4 Inch Binder and Plastic Page Sleeves or some type of Organizational folder to store notes and sewing samples * Muslin Fabric 5-10 yards * Fabric of students choosing based on patterns selected *One to three sewing patterns *polyester thread * fabric scissors or snips *seam ripper *marking utensils (pencils, pens, water soluble fabric pen) *ruler (preferably a clear drafting ruler) *invisible zipper (7 to 9 inches) *A few buttons of any variety *Notebook* These materials all brought by students* |
